COACHELLA IS BACK in just over a week and while there’s plenty of exciting headliners this year such as Blackpink, Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean and more — fans think there could be a secret, last-minute addition to the lineup.

The latest rumour in the social media sphere is that Daisy Jones & the Six might be taking to the world’s biggest music festival stage. Yes, the fictional Fleetwood Mac inspired band of the hit Prime Video series of the same name.

Fans have speculated the actors turned ‘musicians,’ including Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, Sebastian Chacon, Will Harrison, Josh Whitehouse and Suki Waterhouse (Waterhouse, in fact, is a real life singer/performer) could either make an appearance at Coachella and/or go on tour following the series’ success.

“If Daisy Jones and the six play Coachella, I’ll be in a mood for the rest of 2023,” one person tweeted. While another said: “petition for daisy jones and the six to play a surprise set at coachella this year.”

On March 30, Whitehouse (who plays bassist Eddie Roundtree in the Prime Video show) teased on TikTok the Daisy Jones & the Six gang were having band practice. “Wait was this today or was this a year ago … I dunno,” he captioned the video.

Despite Whitehouse’s enigmatic reference (just tell us already?!), there could be some truth to fan theories that the band could be musically reuniting. Celeb gossip account Deux Moi shared an anonymous tip-off to their Instagram account on April 1, which read: “Those rumours swirling about Daisy Jones & the Six playing live shows are not wrong. Have it on very good authority that an announcement is coming soon.”

And in early March, Daisy Jones & the Six executive producer Lauren Neustadter shared with an SXSW panel she was all for a live performance down the line.

“The cast can’t make TikToks forever,” she began to a crowd. “Well, our Amazon friends are here, so… let’s start whatever the equivalent of a petition is. We’d love to tour because that would be so fun, but right now the first thing to do is watch all the episodes.”

This follows Waterhouse’s comments last November, where she told Insider about the intensity of the crew’s band camp in preparation for production — which Neustadter later revealed included a live performance element to 40-odd cast members and crew.

“That was basically the goal,” Waterhouse said during the interview, “To be like, ‘We could go on tour.’”

While Chacon (who played drummer Warren Rojas) told Vulture earlier this month he thinks: “We could never tour,” he did admit that: “We’d love to do a one-off gig.” Perhaps, Coachella truly is that special first (and only) performance — which honestly, couldn’t be more on brand for the California dreaming fictional band.
